Colgate Junior Five Star Awards

This is an incentive scheme based on personal improvement with certificates awarded on achieving specified performance levels

Every young athlete has the opportunity to win a certificate at one of five levels – 1 Star, 2 Star, 3 Star, 4 Star, or 5 Star according to standards achieved in a specified number of events for each age group.

The overall aim of the scheme is to encourage children to take part in a wide range of events and to spread recognition for achievement over all club members, not just the winners or the better athletes.

The Scheme does not aim to produce champions, but rather to provide incentives and develop skills and enjoyment in all events.

Season Points

Season points are awarded from 31 October to 6 March for competition events. They are given for places in events and accumulate towards a trophy at the end of the season. There are trophies for the 1st and 2nd girl and boy in each age group for the 7 – 14 yr olds

The more you attend and the more events that you participate in, the more chance you have in winning one of these trophies.

Club Championships

These are being held as a one day event on Saturday 20 February 2010. There are a variety of senior trophies to compete for.

Details and Programme will be advised later in the season.

Cups

This year we have decided to contest our senior trophies at South Canterbury Club Championships on 20 February 2010. Details to be advised later.
